Payback

Terms of use

The fine print. We kept it short.

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms cover your use of the Payback app for iPhone and iPad and this website, both made by Konstantin Merenkov (“we”). By downloading or playing Payback, you agree to them.

Apple's terms apply too

Payback is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to that agreement. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement wins.

It's a game

The money, debts and mates in Payback are pretend. The game doesn't collect, track or settle real debts, and nothing in it is financial advice. Any resemblance to your actual mates is a coincidence. Probably.

Using Payback

You're welcome to play as much as you like for personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

Ownership

Payback, its name, characters, artwork, sound and code belong to us. Using the app doesn't transfer any of those rights to you.

Updates and availability

We may update, change or stop offering Payback at any time. We'll try to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of bugs.

No warranty and limits of liability

Payback is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss from using it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Continuing to play means you accept the updated terms.
