How do I play?
Steer your character around the grid. Every mate you catch pays you back $100, and gold mates pay $500. Your trail grows as you go. Run into it and the round ends. Reach the target to get paid in full.
What are the controls?
Swipe anywhere, or use the on-screen arrow pad. With a keyboard, use the arrow keys or WASD.
What do Easy, Medium, Hard and Endless mean?
They set how much you're owed: $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000. Endless has no target, so you keep collecting until you cross your trail.
How do I turn off sound, haptics or music?
Use the three toggles at the bottom of the start screen, or the small icons at the top of the screen during a run.
Is any real money involved?
No. The dollars in Payback are pretend. The game doesn't send, request or track real money.
